There is currently 1 specified purpose whole time vacancy available in The Inpatient unit (Oak Ward) of the South East Palliative Care Centre (SEPCC) is on the grounds of University Hospital Waterford.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Staff Nurse (Palliative Care), from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

The Staff Nurse will be assigned to the 20 bed In-Patient Unit where they will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the SEPCC. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.

The successful candidate will help ensure that a caring, creative environment is achieved within the SEPCC, paying attention to the highest possible quality of nursing care, working closely with all members of the team.
