The Product Your primary focus will be Bonita Studio, our integrated development environment with a rich modeling stack. You’ll also work across the entire Bonita stack: runtime engine, REST APIs, and platform ecosystem, contributing to Studio’s evolution with autonomy and impact. What’s in it for you ? Key responsibilities You'll work at the frontier of AI-assisted software engineering We're actively building our AI-assisted development culture, and you'll be part of shaping it. We believe AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) are transforming how we build software. You’ll use them to navigate complex codebases, learn faster, and accelerate your development while ensuring quality and maintainability.Your experience and insights will help define how we adopt and leverage these tools as a team. You'll have space to learn, contribute, and grow in a complex system You'll tackle real engineering challenges: Maven, builds, performance, and complex legacy patterns, with AI as your learning companion. You'll contribute to a product transformation Yes, the current Studio is legacy. But the mission is bold: rebuild Bonita Studio as a modern web-based tool. You’ll contribute to backend architecture while working across the full Bonita stack to make smarter technical decisions. You'll work in a culture of ownership, clarity, and smart tooling We operate fully remotely. Work from anywhere in France, own your time, and collaborate with people who care about product quality, clean code, and smart use of AI. Your first 6 months This is a growth role designed to help you develop both technical depth and AI-assisted practices. Week 1: Intro to the team, tech stack (Studio, engine, APIs), and our AI-assisted development workflow Month 1: First commits, getting oriented in Studio and the broader Bonita stack (using AI tools to accelerate learning) Month 4 (end of Trial): Growing autonomy on Studio components, contributing across the platform with increasing confidence Month 6: Solid contributor to the new Studio's backend vision, comfortable working across the full stack, demonstrating effective AI-assisted development techniques Year 1: Confident contributor on Studio and the Bonita platform, actively participating in building the new architecture, and an active participant in defining our AI-assisted development culture What sets you apart You combine technical depth with the ability to work seamlessly across teams, using AI as a powerful ally while maintaining independent, critical judgment. Core Technical Skills Strong Java background with Maven experience, you understand how builds work and you're comfortable troubleshooting when things break.
