Position #: 9003096 Expected Start Date: October 20, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Community Services 20th Street City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Opioid Addiction Treatment Clinic Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: September 30, 2026 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Evenings Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Addictions Counsellor Diploma is accountable for providing Adult Addictions Counselling which may include any of the following: screening, assessment and referral, individual counselling and brief support, education presentations, multidisciplinary team and community collaboration. The Addictions Counsellor Diploma will provide services consistent with the current Provincial Clinical Addiction Service Model and Saskatchewan Health Authority values and standards of care. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education Chemical Dependency diploma Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Completed social sciences or human services discipline acceptable to employer Competencies Intermediate - Leadership skills Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.
